Empowering Small Business Owners to Maximize Retirement Benefits
Our Expert Team

Nick Moore CFP®
Tax & Investment Advisor
Nick Moore founded PlanForge Consulting with a clear mission: to empower small business owners with retirement strategies that maximize tax savings while taking care of both owners and employees. After years of seeing clients overpaying on their taxes while the government continued to spend irresponsibly, Nick recognized the need for a firm dedicated to building customized 401(k) solutions that can often be implemented at net-zero cost. His driving belief is simple — owners should keep more of what they’ve earned while creating meaningful benefits that strengthen their businesses and families.
Nick’s career in financial services began in 2012 at Northwestern Mutual, where he first discovered his passion for guiding clients through meaningful conversations that inspire action. Over the years, this passion evolved into a dedicated focus on helping business owners and families achieve long-term financial success while optimizing tax efficiency.
Before fully committing to the financial industry, Nick spent a decade honing his interpersonal skills as a bartender at prestigious luxury hotels such as the Ritz-Carlton and Omni Hotels, and later as the personal bartender for the Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium. These experiences taught him the art of connection and service — qualities that continue to shape the way he serves his clients today.
A proud Texan, Nick was born and raised in Terrell, Texas. He graduated from the University of North Texas and later earned his Certified Financial Planner™ credentials from Southern Methodist University (SMU) in 2017, officially achieving the CFP® designation in 2024. He also gained valuable experience as a Private Banker at JPMorgan Chase in Highland Park, where he worked closely with high-net-worth families and business owners.
Outside of work, Nick is engaged to his fiancée, Sarah Hovis, and is excited about building their future together. A die-hard Cowboys fan, he endures the highs and lows of every season with unwavering loyalty (or at least, he tries). Driven by a deep commitment to making a positive impact, Nick strives to ensure that every client he meets is better off — and he takes joy in bringing exceptional people together to foster mutual success.
